While senior dogs often take a little longer to adjust, Buttercup’s transition has been filled with love. Although she still misses her previous family, she has embraced her new life with spirited energy. She is already “running all over,” exploring her new garden, and has officially claimed her spot on Oupa’s bed each night. Her new family has gone to great lengths to make her feel welcome, providing her with a new basket, soft blankets, and an array of toys to keep her sharp mind engaged.

Seeing the impact this placement has had on her new guardian is the most rewarding part of our work.
