Rough Collie Allie is a sweet, highly social, one-year-old male who is essentially a big, energetic teddy bear. He thrives on human affection and brings a wonderfully loving presence to the home. Despite his large size and boundless youthful energy, he is remarkably sweet, gentle, and inquisitive when interacting with tiny newborn babies, making him a beautiful fit for a growing family.

This active boy is always ready for his next big adventure and has an absolute passion for water. Rough Collie Allie wants to go swimming at any time of the day and thoroughly enjoys splashing around in the ocean or the local lagoon. He is just as enthusiastic about travel; the moment he hears a car, he wants to jump right in for a ride. When he is not swimming or cruising in the car, he loves a good, energetic game of fetch with his humans.

Around the home, Rough Collie Allie is wonderfully well-mannered and fully toilet trained, politely asking to go outside if the door happens to be closed. He is a very social companion who gets along brilliantly with other dogs, especially since he is currently missing his late senior Collie friend. His welcoming nature even extends to felines, as he happily allows a stray cat to come and lay in the lounge for a visit. He is generally not a big barker, keeping quiet unless he needs to let you know that someone is at the front gate.

As a highly intelligent working breed, Rough Collie Allie is trained to walk on a leash and boasts a good recall. While he might pull just a little when he is excited, he quickly listens to “heel” and “stop” commands. Because he is so smart and energetic, he requires a family committed to providing him with plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation. If he is left alone for too long without a healthy outlet for his energy, he does tend to start digging in the yard out of frustration.
