Daisy’s Profile
Adopt Boston Terrier Daisy
Finding the right high-engagement household to adopt Boston Terrier Daisy is a priority for our team, as she thrives on human presence and consistent affection. At 2 years and 5 months old, Daisy is a vibrant and excitable female who embodies the spirited nature of the “American Gentleman.” She is a deeply affectionate companion who lives for licks, cuddles, and being physically close to her loved ones. If you are looking for a dog that will truly “sit on you” and offer unwavering devotion, Daisy is the perfect match.
Daisy is an exceptionally well-socialized Boston Terrier who excels in multi-pet and family environments. She is excellent with children and babies, and has shown a gentle, harmonious nature toward other dogs and even the resident cats. While she isn’t a persistent barker, she has a “purposeful voice”โalerting her family to strange noises at the gate or responding to the neighbors’ dogs. She is a brave soul who sleeps comfortably through summer storms, though she does enjoy a spirited “argument” with the vacuum cleaner.

In the home, Daisy is a model of house-trained excellence. She walks beautifully on a lead and is a first-class traveler, happily curling up on a lap for long-distance car rides. However, due to her deep bond with humans, Daisy does experience separation anxiety when left solitary for extended durations. Without mental stimulation and exercise, she can become destructive (specifically with garden plants). She is currently seeking a home where someone is present more regularly to provide the interaction she deserves.
Daisyโs daily rhythm revolves around love and task-oriented play. While she hasn’t quite mastered fetch, she loves engaging with balls, ropes, and bones. She is a dedicated indoor companion who values the security of sleeping inside with her family. With her energetic spirit and soulful personality, Daisy is ready to transition to a home that can make her the center of their daily life.
The Ideal Match
- A household in Gauteng (or nationwide) where someone is home during the day to prevent separation anxiety.
- Discerning owners who appreciate a high-energy, very affectionate “velcro” dog.
- A home with children, other dogs, or cats is highly welcomed as she is exceptionally social.
- A secure garden environment (Daisy is an opportunist; she won’t dig out, but will explore an open gate).
- A family that prioritizes daily walks and mental stimulation to keep her clever mind occupied.
- A lifestyle that allows for indoor sleeping and integration into all family car trips.

Sibling Consideration
Daisy is eligible for a joint placement with her sibling, Cupid. While they share a harmonious bond, Small Dog Adoptions prioritizes the long-term emotional stability of every companion.
We are mindful of ‘Littermate Syndrome’โa behavioral phenomenon where siblings become so intensely bonded that they fail to integrate individually with their human family. While Daisy and Cupid currently show no symptoms of this, Daisy does demonstrate a more dominant personality, often seeking priority attention. We generally recommend separate placements to ensure each dog can flourish as an independent companion. However, for an elite household with extensive breed experience, a joint transition will be considered upon consultation.
