Border Collie Cross Dash is a highly intelligent, 19-month-old male who thrives on consistent engagement and human companionship. This active and energetic young adult—a purposeful Border Collie and Jack Russell mix (Border Jack)—loves his people deeply and prefers to be close to his family whenever possible. As a high-drive dog, he brings an infectious enthusiasm to everything he does and gets extremely excited during play interactions. He is a quiet companion who rarely barks, though he does make a point to announce any cats he spots walking along the garden walls.

Having successfully graduated from puppy school, Border Collie Cross Dash is a highly trainable boy who listens well to his commands and boasts a quick, reliable recall. He walks beautifully on a leash and absolutely loves going for car rides, making him a wonderful companion for outdoor adventures. When it comes to his nighttime routine, he sleeps indoors but can get a bit restless; however, he is fully toilet trained and will politely come to call you if he needs to go outside for a bathroom break.

Because he is incredibly smart and energetic, Border Collie Cross Dash requires adequate physical exercise and daily mental stimulation to stay occupied. Recently, a lack of necessary walks has led him to start digging, chewing, and destroying items left on the ground when he is bored or left alone. To help channel this working-dog energy positively, he absolutely loves toys—specifically destroying them—so his new family will need to keep a rotating stash of expendable “trash toys” for him to happily demolish.

While he is wonderfully devoted to his humans, Border Collie Cross Dash has not been socialized with other dogs and can become reactive on walks if another dog shows aggression towards him. With the right care, attention, and graduated training, his focus can be easily redirected. He has not had one-on-one interaction with children, though he remains perfectly calm when seeing them from a distance during his leashed walks.
