Pekingese Male Mielie is a loving 10-year-old senior who proves that age is just a number. Affectionately known across South Africa as the loyal Peke or the distinct, squishy-faced platgesiggie, this boy just wants love and all the attention. He is known as the best cuddler ever, making him the ultimate companion for anyone seeking a deeply affectionate shadow who wants to be close to his people.

Despite being a senior, Pekingese Male Mielie loves his toys and thoroughly enjoys a good game of tug of war. He is generally a quiet boy and not a big barker, though he will happily bark out of pure excitement when his family comes home. When it is time to rest, he is perfectly content sleeping in his own bed, lounging on the couch, or snoozing in the bedroom alongside his family.

This sweet gentleman is excellent with small babies and currently lives comfortably with a resident cat and also gets along well with other dogs. He is fully toilet trained, although he may occasionally lift his leg if he gets overly excited. He enjoys going for walks on his leash, though he tends to be all over the place as he loves exploring and sniffing everything in his path. He also absolutely loves car rides, often squealing with delight at the prospect of a new adventure.

He is protective of his food, so he needs a respectful environment during mealtimes where he will not be disturbed. Additionally, he does not like water and will actively avoid it. His new family must also be careful with open gates, as he may make a run for it to go and mark his territory on the outside.
