Senior Maltese Zoey is a remarkably active and healthy 12-year-old girl who has never been ill a day in her life. She is incredibly social, sweet, and lovable, proudly holding the title of the world’s worst guard dog because she prefers to greet every single person with enthusiastic licks. She absolutely loves people and is excellent with children. Whether you are a familiar family member or a complete stranger, she will eagerly walk right up and ask to sit on your lap for cuddles, often squeezing herself directly onto children’s laps just to be close and soak up the love.

Having grown up alongside another canine companion who sadly passed away, Senior Maltese Zoey found immense comfort in a special teddy bear that she is now deeply bonded with. This beloved teddy goes everywhere with her, including into bed every single night, providing her with constant companionship. She is fully toilet trained and will politely wake you up if she needs to go outside for the bathroom. While she is well-behaved, she does have a curious streak; if the gate is left open, she will take a quick stroll outside to sniff and explore, but she will patiently wait outside the yard to be let back in.

Despite her golden years, Senior Maltese Zoey absolutely loves going for walks and has an incredibly brave, playful spirit. She enjoys meeting any sized dog along her route, happily trotting up to a Great Dane just to say hello and initiate a play session, completely unfazed by their size or breed. She is a wonderful passenger in the car and loves to ask her humans for treats throughout the day. However, she does not like going to traditional groomers who use cages, as she will whimper continuously until you fetch her, so she requires a stress-free, cage-free environment.

Around the house, she is generally a very quiet companion and is not a barker at all—with one major exception. She strongly dislikes cats and will actively bark at and chase any feline that crosses her path. As long as her precious teddy bear is by her side, Senior Maltese Zoey is perfectly comfortable being left home alone during the day. She is a resilient, affectionate senior seeking a family who will embrace her quirks, her teddy, and her boundless love for life.
