Russell Terrier Mix Murphy—thought to be a Parson Russell Terrier or Jack Russell Terrier blend is an eager-to-please, highly trainable, and sweet-natured boy who loves nothing more than making his humans happy. Once he gets to know you, his affectionate and playful personality truly shines through. He is a bright, motivated companion with a fantastic recall who thrives on positive direction. In the home, Murphy is wonderfully well-mannered, sleeping comfortably in his own bed in the lounge and being fully toilet trained for easy indoor living. His absolute favorite passion in life is playing with balls—he will eagerly run, chase, catch, and bring them back all day long.

This energetic, fun-loving boy has a genuine love for water and will happily dash into the sea or splash around whenever he gets the chance. He also gets super excited for car rides, enthusiastically announcing the journey before settling down beautifully for long drives. Around the house, Murphy is independent and can comfortably keep himself occupied when left home alone during the day. Because he has a strong, curious terrier spirit, he can be a bit of an escape artist if a gate is left open and he spots something worth chasing, so secure property boundaries are essential.

Murphy is a wonderful family dog who has spent the last few years living happily alongside a young child. He would love to have kids in his new home who can run around, play, and share endless games of fetch with him to burn off his youthful energy. Like many attentive terriers, he acts as a great little watchdog and will bark to alert you when visitors arrive or when there is activity at the gate, though he quietens down easily and settles quickly once he sees friendly faces.
