GSD Cross Collie Luna is a beautiful 6-year-old female looking for a loving forever home. This stunning German Shepherd Cross Border Collie, also known as a Shollie or Border Collie German Shepherd Mix, combines the intelligence and athleticism of both breeds with a wonderfully gentle and affectionate nature. Luna absolutely lives for her ball and always seems to have one nearby. Throw a ball and she goes from relaxed companion to full-speed athlete in an instant. Despite her energetic side, Luna’s favourite place is right next to her humans, often resting her head on your leg or curling up close simply because she enjoys being near the people she loves.

Luna is excellent with children, including toddlers, and is naturally gentle and protective of her family. She gets along well with other dogs, is fully house-trained, and has lovely manners in the home. Her reaction to cats is unknown, although she does enjoy chasing hadedas and has caught a bird or two in the past. Luna is exceptionally intelligent and eager to learn. She can walk on leash, has previously mastered off-leash heel work, and is such a clever girl that she can even open doors with her paw. She loves swimming and will happily leap into the water whenever given the chance, often returning soaking wet and incredibly proud of herself.

Luna had a difficult start in life after being rescued from an abusive situation as a young puppy, but she has grown into a remarkable dog. Because of her past, she can occasionally be a little skittish and needs a family who understands that trust and confidence take time. She may bark at unfamiliar sounds when settling into a new environment, but once she learns her surroundings and routine, she relaxes beautifully. Luna is terrified of thunderstorms and will do everything she can to get indoors if a storm arrives. She is also nervous during car trips, although she settles down once the journey is underway.

Luna shares a close bond with Molly, a Golden Retriever Cross Border Collie, and they can be adopted together by a family looking to welcome two wonderful companions into their home. This loyal Shollie is looking for a patient and understanding family who will appreciate both her playful working-dog spirit and her sensitive soul.
