Collie Cross Retriever Molly is a 9-year-old Border Collie cross Golden Retriever with the gentlest, most loving nature. This beautiful Collie Retriever mix is often described as a giant teddy bear by her family. She has been raised around children and has shown extraordinary patience and kindness throughout her life. When her family’s young son was learning to walk, Molly would happily stand still while he gently held onto her coat to pull himself upright, demonstrating the calm, trustworthy temperament that makes her so special.

Molly adores people and is exceptionally good with babies and children. She forms strong bonds with her family and is naturally protective of those she loves. On one occasion, while out on a walk, another dog ran up to greet a child in her family. Molly immediately stepped in to protect her little one, calmly positioning herself between them without any aggression or conflict. She is also very social with other dogs and enjoys meeting canine friends during walks and outings.

A well-mannered companion, Molly is fully house-trained and has excellent manners around the home. If she needs to go outside during the night, she will gently nudge her family awake with her nose rather than having an accident indoors. She waits patiently for her meals and will only eat when given permission. Molly loves car rides and is an excellent travel companion, happily settling in for both short trips and long-distance journeys. While she can be strong and tends to pull on leash, she has previously walked well off-leash and would benefit from a refresher course to rebuild her leash manners.

Molly does have a cataract in one eye, which does not stop her from enjoying life, and she has three small fatty lumps on her back that have been examined by a veterinarian and confirmed to be benign (non-cancerous). Despite these minor age-related conditions, Molly remains a happy, affectionate and active dog who is ready to share her love with a new family. Molly can also be adopted together with her sister, Luna, for families looking to welcome an already bonded pair into their home.
